Frequently asked questions

Laser skin resurfacing is exactly what the name suggests. It carefully removes the outer layers of your skin, which stimulates the production of new skin cells during the healing process. This can improve the appearance of skin imperfections such as wrinkles or fine lines, but can also make your skin look more youthful and fresher than before.

The Pixel laser has been approved by the FDA as a safe and effective laser skin resurfacing treatment.

The Pixel uses Er:Yag laser technology to selectively penetrate deep into the skin. Surrounding tissues are not impacted.

The treatment targets tiny zones which trigger natural healing, encouraging new, healthy skin to grow. It can reduce the appearance of acne scars, age spots, uneven skin tone, wrinkles, and fine lines.

It is a type of fractional laser, which means it only breaks down certain parts of the surface of the skin. An ablative laser removes the entire surface layer of skin. This means there is generally less downtime than with ablative laser treatments.
