Dermal and Lip Filler

dermal and lip fillers

Dermal and lip filler is useful to lift out folds, such as those that can run from nose to mouth, or those bothersome lines that can form around the lips. As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial muscles are then working closer to the skin surface, so smile lines and crow’s feet become more apparent. We use Júvederm, Ellanse, Restylane and Radiesse dermal fillers, (hyaluronic acid filler) that has been approved for their intended use.

How does the Dermal  Filler treatment work?

Dermal fillers are injected below the skin’s surface and fill out fine lines and wrinkles, and in some cases, scars. Fillers effectively add volume to the skin, providing a more natural and youthful appearance. Whilst they are marketed as dermal (skin) fillers, they also can provide fullness and enhancement to thinning lips. Dermal fillers are used to sculpt the face, and restore that youthful shape and glow.

What can we use Dermal Filler to treat?

Lines, wrinkles and folds: • naso-labial lines (nose to mouth lines) • marionette lines (mouth to chin lines) • crows feet (smile lines around eyes)  • frown lines • lip lines (smokers or lipstick lines)- lip augmentation- Contouring and enhancement: • lip enhancement • turning up corners of the mouth • cheek sculpting (sunken cheeks) • jowls (sagging jaw line) • chin enhancement,

We do not perform tear trough treatment.

Is it safe?

In 2015, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers accounted for more than 92% of all filler treatments in the US. The grown in HA filler popularity likely reflects their excellent safety profile and efficacy and ease of administration. Common complications are redness, bruising and swelling.

Does it hurt?

Depending on your pain threshold we can numb the skin with a topical anaesthetic cream.

How long does the treatment take?

Dermal and lip filler take about 30-40 minutes.

Is there any downtime after the treatment?

Normal activities can be resumed immediately after treatment.

The result can be seen immediately. However, the full result will come in the following weeks as the product settles into the patient’s skin.

How long do the effects last?

The effects should last about 9-12 months.

Do I need to take special precautions before or after treatment?

We would recommend that you drink plenty of water prior to your treatment and to avoid aspirin, alcohol and vitamin E 3 days prior to treatment, this is to minimise the risk of any bruising.  Don’t touch or rub the treated areas for a minimum of 4 hours after treatment.  Don’t lie down for four hours after treatment in order to reduce the possibility that you may accidentally move injectables to an area where you do not want them.

How much does it cost?

We currently have a special offer for Dermal and lip filler of  €299 for for 1ml using Restylane, which will be confirmed upon consultation with one of our medical team. You can choose another brands of filler but they will cost more than this special offer price.
